Infrastructure Projects
The Engineering Department is responsible for the following:
- Planning, designing, and overseeing construction of capital improvements and enhancements to municipal roadways, traffic signals, storm sewers, sanitary sewers when part of a road project, and pedestrian and bicycle facilities.
- Providing technical assistance to the Recreation Department and Operations and Infrastructure for their capital improvement projects.
- Permitting work within the public rights-of-way by private contractors and utility companies.
- Collaborating with Mercer County and New Jersey Department of Transportation for improvements on the Princeton roadways in their jurisdiction.

The Bank Street Improvement Project is a roadway and underground infrastructure project.

The Clover Lane New Jersey American Water (NJAW) project's purpose is to replace water main and services on Clover Lane.

Hamilton-Wiggins-Paul Robeson Corridor Traffic
The Hamilton - Wiggins - Paul Robeson Corridor Traffic project's purpose is to examine traffic, safety, and mobility issues.

Linden Lane, Spruce, Moran Avenue & Maple
The Linden Lane, Spruce Street, Moran Avenue, and Maple Street improvements include a sanitary sewer, storm sewer, sidewalk, and roadway project.

Mercer County Bridge Replacement Project on Locust
Harry's Brook Bridge is being replaced in Spring 2021.

Public Service Enterprise Group (PSE&G) 2019 Gas System Modernization Program includes the replacement of 7 miles of gas main and 600 services.
