Hamilton-Wiggins-Paul Robeson Corridor Traffic

Overview

In 2018, the Princeton Bicycle Advisory Committee conducted a short experiment to test bike lanes on Hamilton - Wiggins between Sylvia Beach Way and Walnut Lane. As a part of a multi-modal corridor study covering a distance of 1.1 miles from Bayard Lane/U.S. Route 206 to North Harrison Street, WSP USA (Princeton's consultant) is examining traffic, safety, and mobility issues within the corridor, and potential improvements including pedestrian and school crossings, intersection improvements, traffic calming, on-street parking, and bicycle facilities.

In 2019 stakeholder meetings were conducted with advocates, businesses, and corridor residents to understand all of the uses and needs of the corridor. The final study report is available in the Documents section below.  Princeton Council will consider acceptance of the report at a meeting in January 2021.
