Tax Collection
The Tax Collection Department is responsible for the Billing, Collection, and Enforcement of real estate taxes, sewer charges and special assessments.
The property tax/sewer bill is due February 1st, May 1st, August 1st and November 1st with a 10 day grace period. If the 10th falls on a weekend or a holiday you have until the next business day to pay without penalty.
Princeton has closed all municipal buildings to the public. Therefore, payments can either be:

Attn: Tax Office, Princeton, NJ 08540 - Dropped off Monday through Friday, in the Police lobby drop box located at:
1 Valley Road
Princeton, NJ 08540 - Paid online through our Tax Portal no fee if paid through your checking account and a 2.65% fee if paid with credit card.
Property Tax Reimbursement forms can be mailed or dropped off at the above locations, and once completed we will mail back to you. No cash will be accepted.
Receipts
Anyone wanting a receipt should include a self-addressed stamped envelope. Please note that the estimated bill format is different from normal bills and will include and insert with additional information
