Quaker Road between Mercer Road and West Windsor remains closed. On or about October 25, 2021, weather permitting, it is anticipated that NJDOT will begin work near the canal and Port Mercer to rebuild the towpath and road embankment. Lawrence Township will be filling the sinkhole in the roadway in coordination with the NJDOT work. Princeton will replace guiderail after NJDOT work is completed.
Repair work in the area between Mercer Road and the Historical Society of Princeton will take place in mid-November.
Once all of the abovementioned repairs are complete, Quaker Road can reopen.
