The Terhune Road Improvements Project, in cooperation with the developers of The Alice and the Thanet Circle redevelopment will reconstruct Terhune Road from North Harrison Street to Grover Avenue. The project is in the preliminary design stage, updates will be provided as available.
Proposed Improvements:
Construction of a new sidewalk on the south side of the road.
An improved shared use path on the north side of the road.
Raised intersection with Thanet Circle.
Other improvements include:
Improved ADA compliant curb ramps, and enhanced crosswalks.
Bicycle lanes
Project Timeline:
Survey work was completed in the Spring of 2023 and the design is being prepared by PS&S of Wall, NJ.
Preliminary design will be completed in November 2023.
Final design will be completed in the Spring of 2024.
Environmental Permits are anticipated to be received in the Summer of 2024
Construction is slated to being in late 2024 or early 2025.
