A letter of good conduct can be requested by printing and submitting the Visa/Letter of Good Conduct Certificate along with 2 forms of identification to our Records Bureau or completing the online form. All information submitted in the application will be checked and verified by the Police Department, therefore, specific dates and exact addresses are required. Should the Police Department be unable to verify any of the information submitted, or should information prove to be false, no certificate will be issued.
You must provide two forms of identification, including a photo ID, when submitting your application. Copies of your ID will be made and attached to your application. The background check covers Princeton Borough and Princeton Township for the time period you lived here. There is a $10 non-refundable fee, payable in advance. Hours for Good Conduct letters are Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., excluding holidays. The turnaround time is one to two working days.
