The Princeton Sewer Committee (PSC) advises Council on matters related to the public sanitary sewer system. The PSC discusses municipal operations, identifies issues suitable for Council review, gathers and evaluates information, and recommends courses of action to Council. The PSC is governed by Municipal Law.
The PSC has two regular members and one voting liaison member from the governing body. Members serve on a volunteer basis. At least one of the regular members must have civil engineering or municipal waste experience. The regular members are appointed for three year terms. The liaison representative is appointed annually by the governing body and serves a one year term.
The PSC and the Sewer Department are two separate entities. The Sewer Department carries out the will of Council, as promulgated by Ordinances and Resolutions. Sewer Department staff are employees of the Municipality. To learn more about the Department visit the Sewer Department page.
