Princeton Council voted on February 16th to form a Vision Zero Task Force to prepare a Vision Zero Action Plan for Princeton. Vision Zero is a policy and planning tool that starts from an assumption that traffic deaths and serious injuries are avoidable, that people will make mistakes, and that proper roadway design and regulations can help eliminate the direst consequences of these mistakes. In addition to representation from multiple municipal departments and advisory boards tasked with developing policy around public health and traffic safety, we are seeking engagement from interested members of the public at large. If you have a particular interest or expertise in roadway safety, please consider filling out an application for our Task Force.
