Trash Service Postcards in Your Mailbox
Yes, the postcards received over the weekend are real and are from the Municipality of Princeton. The Bitly address on the card is case-sensitive, please make sure to capitalize “PNJW” when you type in the address. You can also use this web address https://princeton.civilspace.io/en/projects/princeton-solid-waste-and-organics-collection to reach the same information and a survey on your level of interest in a potential food waste/organics program.
Princeton’s current trash collection contract expires in January 2023, and Princeton is soliciting bids through October 2022 for the new service. Council is considering changes to the service to contain escalating costs of solid waste and reduce carbon emissions, as well as the expansion to include organics recycling. Please email wasteinfo@princetonnj.gov with any trash-related questions.
Please review these presentations for more information.
Changes to trash service will not occur until February 2023. More details on the new service will be available in October 2022 when Princeton Council awards the new contract.
