[ARCHIVED] Princeton COVID-19 Vaccine Update

The Princeton Health Department, in partnership with the Mercer County Health Officers Association, are continuing to run localized vaccine clinics and will continue to do so until larger sites open in the coming weeks.

The Princeton Health Department has received 800 doses of the Moderna vaccine to date. 500 doses were administered over the course of two clinics to healthcare workers and front line emergency responders. 300 doses are being administered next week to healthcare workers, individuals 65 and older and individuals meeting CDC criteria for preexisting medical conditions whom are at increased risk of severe illness from the virus. Depending on how many vaccines are received by the New Jersey Department of Health, the Princeton Health Department will continue to hold vaccine clinics for eligible participants.

Princeton residents are encouraged to pre-register on the New Jersey Department of Health, COVID-19 website to determine vaccine eligibility. The Princeton Health Department has also created an online waitlist that allows residents to specify their eligibility, and share contact information so timely information on upcoming clinics can be distributed efficiently.

Once the Princeton Health Department receives vaccines, they will reach out to participants on the Princeton waitlist with information on how to schedule an appointment to an upcoming clinic.

Residents should continue to monitor both the NJ Department of Health COVID page and the Municipality of Princeton webpage for updates.
