Princeton Health Department- COVID vaccine update woman getting a shot (PNG)

Currently there are no appointments available through Princeton Health Department. Please do not call or email asking about appointments.

Princeton residents have three key strategies available to register for/find a COVID vaccine.

1.    Pre-register on the New Jersey vaccination registration portal (NJVSS) This site will display one’s eligibility for the COVID-19 vaccine. Once the registration is complete, the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH) will reply with an e-mail assigning you to the appropriate Phase. NJDOH will follow up with a separate e-mail when it is time to schedule an appointment (See #2 for information on scheduling an appointment). If you experience an error or need help registering with the New Jersey Vaccine Scheduling System, you can complete an online form or call 855-568-0545 for customer service phone support.

2.    Review a list of the NJ COVID-19 vaccine locations. The list of locations receiving and administering the COVID-19 vaccine is expanding daily, so check this site often. These locations will provide more accessibility for the general population. Some clinic locations are utilizing their own registration portal, links to these locations can be found on the vaccine location list.

3.    Sign up on the Princeton COVID-19 Vaccination Registration Waitlist/Screening Tool. This list was created as a result of high demand prior to the NJVSS opening. Princeton Health Department is urging individuals to sign up on the NJVSS portal to identify their Phase group and to review the up-to-date list of vaccine clinic locations. Currently there are over 20,000 individuals on our local waitlist. We are sorting and selecting those eligible residents for vaccines. Individuals who have signed up on the local Princeton list will continue to be contacted in the order received, considering their eligibility based on the information provided and the State's current vaccine deployment Phase. We are working very hard at vaccinating the community and will continue to set up local clinic sites based on vaccine availability. The Princeton Health Department is administering the COVID-19 vaccine in coordination with county and local partners. Walk-ins are not accepted.

Please be patient with this process and do not call or email asking about appointments. The Princeton Health Department receives vaccines through Mercer County, which receives vaccines from the New Jersey Department of Health. Currently, there is a severe vaccine shortage. The Princeton Health Department has the resources to hold clinics and vaccinate residents as soon as the vaccine is available.

If you receive a notice from the NJ Department of Health that you are eligible for a vaccine please visit the NJ COVID Information Hub website for vaccination sites and contact them directly to make an appointment.

Once the Princeton Health Department receives vaccines, they will reach out to participants on the Princeton waitlist with information on how to schedule an appointment to an upcoming clinic.

NJ COVID-19 Dashboard offers an insight on the COVID cases and vaccines distributed to date. Select the "Vaccination Overview" tab to view how many doses have been administered and the breakdown by County.
