Vaccine Information:
Currently, vaccines are available to the following individuals:
- Paid and unpaid healthcare workers
- Residents and workers of long-term care and high-risk congregate-care facilities
- First responders including sworn law enforcement and fire professionals
- Individuals aged over 65
- Individuals aged 16-64 that have certain medical conditions that increase the risk of severe illness from the virus
- Pre-K to 12 educators and staff
- Childcare workers in licensed and registered settings
Beginning March 29th, frontline essential workers in the following categories are eligible for the vaccine:
- Food production, agriculture, and food distribution
- Eldercare and support
- Warehousing and logistics
- Social services support staff
- Elections personnel
- Hospitality
- Medical supply chain
- Postal and shipping services
- Clergy
- Judicial system
Keep in mind the demand still outweighs the supply so please be patient. You are strongly encouraged to try to make a vaccine appointment through the individual portals offered by some of the vaccine sites, including the pharmacy sites such as CVS, RiteAid, Wegmans, and ShopRite. If you are currently on the Princeton waitlist and get your vaccine elsewhere, please email the Princeton Health Department to be removed from the waitlist.

NJ has set up a call center for those over age 75 who need assistance scheduling vaccine appointments. The call center will reach out to registrants who are over age 75 to schedule appointments at the following locations:
- Gloucester mega-site
- Inspira Health (Mullica Hill and Vineland)
- Walmart (60 sites, will launch 3/8)
- Shop-Rite (64 sites, launch TBD)

All volunteers with PSRC are asked to complete a streamlined application and criminal background check.
Princeton Health Department is not holding any vaccine clinics at this time.
Once the supply increases to meet the demand, we are prepared to schedule further local clinics to help serve those residents who face challenges in receiving care at the larger regional sites. In the meantime, our local health departments will continue to support the vaccination efforts underway by assisting the county at the CURE Arena or at the Mercer County Community College (MCCC) vaccination sites. Appointments are required at both sites through the New Jersey Vaccine Scheduling System (NJVSS).
We will no longer be accepting new registrations for the Princeton Waitlist. The existing waitlist will be used to identify people for county-level vaccine clinics. Eligible residents who have already pre-registered with the municipality will continue to be offered appointments and then be scheduled into the available slots at one of the two county-facilitated vaccination sites, either MCCC or the Cure Arena. Those on the Princeton waitlist should anticipate that it will take weeks or more to vaccinate everyone currently on the waitlist. Given this anticipated timeline, new additions to the Princeton waitlists are not available at this time. It is important to understand that selection from waitlists may prioritize the oldest residents and those unable to navigate larger venues. Those residents who are able to travel to other sites throughout the state are recommended to check the list of vaccine sites throughout the state and reach out to those with their own portals to register for an appointment. While local health agencies are unable to respond to direct inquiries about specific positions on the list or on anticipated wait times, be assured that you will be contacted once an appointment is available.
If you are on the Princeton waitlist and receive your vaccine elsewhere, please notify the Princeton Health Department to remove your name from the list.
Everyone seeking vaccination should use the State's centralized registration and take the first appointment offered to you.
1. Pre-register on the New Jersey vaccination registration portal (NJVSS) This site will display one’s eligibility for the COVID-19 vaccine. Once the registration is complete, the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH) will reply with an e-mail assigning you to the appropriate Phase. NJDOH will follow up with a separate e-mail when it is time to schedule an appointment (See #2 for information on scheduling an appointment). If you experience an error or need help registering with the New Jersey Vaccine Scheduling System, you can complete an online form or call 855-568-0545 for customer service phone support.
2. Review a list of the NJ COVID-19 vaccine locations. The list of locations receiving and administering the COVID-19 vaccine is expanding daily, so check this site often. These locations will provide more accessibility for the general population. Some clinic locations are utilizing their own registration portal, links to these locations can be found on the vaccine location list. Registering with the clinic locations utilizing their own portals will increase your chance of getting an appointment for a vaccine.

If you receive a notice from the NJ Department of Health that you are eligible for a vaccine please visit the NJ COVID Information Hub website for vaccination sites and contact those sites directly to make an appointment.
NJ COVID-19 Dashboard offers an insight on the COVID cases and vaccines distributed to date. Select the "Vaccination Overview" tab to view how many doses have been administered and the breakdown by County.
COVID-19 Testing for Princeton Residents:
Princeton Health Department has partnered with Navus Health in providing FREE COVID-19 testing to uninsured and underinsured Princeton residents. Testing will be done using a physician referred rt-PCR oral saliva swab test that has a proven 99.7% accuracy rate.
Princeton residents with insurance are also able to utilize these services with an upfront fee of $129.00, paid at the time of visit. New patients to Navus Health can receive 20% off their first order by using the code PRINCETON20. Some healthcare insurance carries reimbursement for the COVID testing based on the policy but you would need to submit on your own for that reimbursement. Call your health insurance provider prior to scheduling to see if you are eligible for reimbursement.
