My neighbor’s house is the same as mine, but they are paying less taxes than me. Why?
  • All properties are different, but they are assessed based on the same criteria such as location, style, size, condition, year built, updates/renovations, etc. Ultimately, the market value of the property (how much you can sell the property for in today’s market) is what weighs the most in calculating assessments. It is important to compare the most current data. Contact Tax Assessor office if you believe there are errors.
